春も美しい法起寺

法起寺は田んぼに囲まれたのどかな田園風景の中にあります。

秋のコスモスが素敵ですが、春も美しい桜を見ることができました。

法起寺は606年に聖徳太子が法華経を講説された岡本寺を寺に改めたことが始まりで、法隆寺、四天王寺、中宮寺、広隆寺、橘寺（聖徳太子生誕寺）、葛木寺とともに太子建立七ヶ寺の一つに数えられています。

三重塔

高さ23.9m。
706年（飛鳥時代）に建立された日本最古の三重塔です。
上層に行くほど小さくなる率が大きく安定感があります。

法隆寺の五重塔の初層、三層、五層の大きさと、法起寺の初層、二層、三層がほぼ同じ大きさであると言われています。
