コスモスと彼岸花が鮮やかな般若寺

般若寺ではコスモスが咲き始め、彼岸花が見頃を迎えてとても鮮やかです。

般若寺では6月と10月にコスモスの花が見頃を迎えます。

その中でも秋のコスモスは花の数が多くてとても見事です。

コスモスは咲き始めでまだまだ緑が多いですが、またそれもとても綺麗です。

そして今は彼岸花が見頃を迎えています。

関西花の寺25ヶ寺

関西花の寺25ヶ寺とは昔から「ボタン寺」「アジサイ寺」など「花の寺」と称される関西2府4県の25ヶ寺が集まって結成されました。

25ヶ寺は宗旨宗派の垣根を超えて集まった花がご縁のお寺です。

般若寺は第17番目のお寺です。

般若寺はコスモス以外にも梅や紫陽花、椿、水仙などいつも何かのお花が咲きとても綺麗なお寺です。

その中でも秋のコスモスが一番華やかです。

コスモスの見頃は10月です。この通りまだまだ緑です。

般若寺は奈良坂の古道に沿って立ち、静寂と荒涼感が漂いますが、木々が少ないため広々と庶民的で親しみやすいお寺です。

とはいえ始まりは飛鳥時代と言われ、聖武天皇が平城京の鬼門を守るために石塔に「大般若経」を納めたの始まりとされています。平安時代には学僧が1000人集まる学問寺として知られました。
しかし1180年、平家の南都攻めで伽藍が失われましたが鎌倉時代に再建されました。

日本最古の楼門遺構と言われる楼門（国宝）

ところどころにキバナコスモスがまとまって咲いていてこれもまた可愛いです。
