奈良藤原京春ゾーンの菜の花と桜を見てきました。
25,000平方メートル（甲子園球場グラウンドの約2倍）のエリアに250万本の菜の花が咲き乱れてとても綺麗です。
菜の花の黄色と桜のピンクはとても合いますね。
奥に見えるのが畝傍山です。
畝傍山は耳成山、香具山とともに大和三山と呼ばれています。
こんもりした山可愛いはこの周辺ではどこからでも見ることできます。
国の名勝にも指定されています。
畝傍山は高さ198.8mで「火がうねる」という意味だそうで、瀬戸内火山帯に属している火山だそうです。
綺麗な釣鐘型ですが、中新世に群化した火山岩が侵食されてその一部が残ったそうで、噴火時は2倍の高さがあったようです。
畝傍山には江戸時代には70以上もの寺院があったとされています。
今では麓に橿原神宮があります。
