水の守り神宇太水分神社

飛鳥時代から残る水の守り神

宇太水分神社神社は崇神天皇の勅命によって祀られたと伝えられています。

大和朝廷が飛鳥に置かれた頃東西南北（宇太・葛城・都祁・吉野）に祀られた大和四水分のうちの東に当たります。

宇太水分神社は芳野川が四郷川と合流する付近に鎮座し、古城から水の守り神として信仰を集めてきました。

本殿（国宝）

本殿には天野水分神、速秋津彦命、国水分神が祀られています。

春日造で素晴らしい建物です。

頼朝杉

平安時代の醍醐天皇の時代には幼少期の源頼朝公が詣で、大将軍になれるかを占うために杉を植えさせ「水分の神の誓いをうえおきつ後に栄の老杉を見む」と詠いました。

今もその杉の2代目が植えられています。

明日香稲渕の棚田の彼岸花

明日香では稲穂か美しい時期になり、彼岸花が見頃を迎えています。

案山子ロードも開催されていて賑わっていました。
