天理市の銀杏並木

天理市の銀杏並木が黄金に輝いています。

天理市役所から天理大学までの間約1kmに大きな銀杏並木がずらりと並び、黄金に輝く姿は本当に綺麗です。

銀杏の絨毯がとても綺麗でした。

天理教教会本部

天理市の名前も天理教に由来しています。

元は天理教の本部が丹波市町にあり、市政施行時に天理教が一帯に普及してし、全国の隅々に天理の町として知れ渡っていたので「天理市」を選定したそうです。
2017年現在日本で市名に宗教団体の名前が使われている唯一の例です。
宗教都市として定着しています。

銀杏並木と並行して約1kmの天理本通りという商店街があります。

天理教教会本部の門前町通りとして、また古の道、山の辺の道に繋がるエントランスロードとして全国各地から多くの訪問客が通る商店街です。
雨に濡れずに天理教教会本部まで行く事ができます。
神具店や装束店なども多く天理教関係者の方も多く見かけますので、天理教が地域に密着していると感じます。
