美しいメタセコイヤ並木

精華大通りやその周辺に約1.5km続くメタセコイヤ並木。
黄葉が進みとても美しい景色です。

あと何年かしてもう少し生長して大きくなったらさらに華やかになるでしょうね。

メタセコイヤはヒノキ科（またはスギ科）の針葉樹です。
生長すると高さ25-30m、直径1.5mになります。
秋に赤茶色に紅葉し落葉します。
秋から冬にかけて無数の種が地面に落ちます。

精華大通りにはけいはんな記念公園があります。
けいはんな記念公園は学研都市（関西文化学術研究都市）の建設を記念する公園です。
日本の里の風景をテーマにしており、水景園（日本庭園）、芽ふきの森（里山）、棚田風の広場などを楽しめます。
紅葉谷では美しく配置された紅葉と点在する小滝が織りなす庭の造形美を楽しむことができます。
ちょうど見頃を迎えていました。
また水面上約10mに架かる観月橋からは庭園内を一望することができます。
季節の行事なども多く地元の人々の憩いの場です。
