小雪舞う氷室神社

厳寒の奈良

朱色の建物に白い雪が舞いとても綺麗でした。

氷室神社は奈良の都、平城京に夏の間氷を献上する役目を担っていました。
奈良時代の70年間続きましたが平安遷都後廃止されました。
現在は氏子と冷凍氷業界の奉賛により維持されています。
ひむろしろゆき祭りというかき氷のお祭りも開催されています。
奈良はかき氷のお店が多いことでも有名です。

氷の神様ということで雪が舞う姿が似合いますね。

これはなんという植物でしょうか。

ふわふわした毛皮みたいで寒さにも強そうな姿です。

ちょうど四脚門の前に咲いていました。


黄色い蕾が色づき膨らみかけています。
春が近づいているようで嬉しいです。

氷室神社はしだれ桜が美しいことで有名です。
春にはしだれ桜がとても美しく、奈良で最も早く開花すると言われています。
古都の春を告げるとても縁起のいい桜、楽しみです。
