風通る東大寺

陽射しの強い夕刻に東大寺を訪れたのは初めてかもしれません。

影が描くコントラストが美しかったです。

風が通る隙間から陽が刺してとても美しい影ができていました。

華厳経の教理の実現

東大寺の正式名称は「金光明四天王護国之寺（きんこうみょうしてんのうごこくのてら）」と言うそうです。
奈良時代は華やかな時代であると同時に、政変・かんばつ・飢饉・凶作・大地震・天然痘の大流行などが相次ぎ、惨憺たる時代だったので、世界に存在するあらゆるものは、それぞれの密接な相関関係の上に成り立ち、平和で秩序ある世界を形成していると説いている『華厳経』の教理の実現を目指しています。

2つ七重の塔があったとされますが2度の戦争による火災で焼け落ちて、現在の大仏殿は江戸時代に再建されたものです。

御朱印に華厳経と書かれていました。

金銅八角燈籠

奈良時代当時のものです。
4面の羽目板のうち西北面と西南面が当初のもので、東北面と東南面はレプリカだそうです。東北面の羽目板は1962年に盗難に遭い、直後に発見されたが、その後はオリジナルは別途保管し、燈籠にはレプリカを取り付けている。
東南面の羽目板のオリジナルは早くに紛失したそう。

夕陽が当たって綺麗でした。

レプリカも雰囲気が出てカッコ良かったです。
